The Benchmarks feature lets you compare your current campaign (or selected scope) against another set of campaigns or filters, called a benchmark.

This is helpful for understanding how your results stack up in terms of efficiency, targeting, or market performance.

When to use benchmarks

Use benchmarks to:

  • See if your performance is aligned with other markets

  • Validate performance consistency across countries or teams

  • Align local campaign strategy with global or group standards

What you can compare

Benchmarks apply only to calculated metrics. These include:

  • CTR (Click-Through Rate)

  • CPC (Cost Per Click)

  • CPM (Cost Per Mille)

  • VTR (View-Through Rate)
    ... and other calculated KPIs.

Getting Started

  1. Open any report with calculated metrics.

  2. Click the “Enable Benchmark” toggle at the top of the page.

  3. Choose the benchmark scope and time period.

    1. Filters (Scope)

Choose any combination of dimensions to define your benchmark, just like you apply filters elsewhere in Spyne.

      • Channel

      • Campaign

      • Advertiser

      • Objective

      • Targeting

      • Any custom dimension

    2. Time Period

      Select the benchmark period using

      • Relative dates (e.g., Same period last year, Last 30 days)

      • Fixed dates (e.g., March 2024)

    3. You can even compare:

Your current filters: Meta, Germany, June vs. Benchmark: Tiktok, France, May

  4. You’ll see benchmarks directly in:

    • Big numbers (top metrics on a report)

    • Visuals (charts and tables), as a comparison similar to date comparisons

Both absolute values and differences are shown, so you can clearly see how you perform vs. the benchmark.
