AI Report Builder is a conversational assistant designed to help you create and edit reports. It helps structure your report, add widgets, edit report settings and update the report’s style. It is not designed to answer analytics or insight questions. For insights, please use spyneAI instead.
Here are the current capabilities of AI Report Builder - what it can and can't do at the moment.
What AI Report Builder Can Do
Create a report using predefined filters (“Fixed filters with dimension values”)
Add widgets, such as Big Number, Bar Chart, Line Chart, Table, Pivot Table, Text Block
Suggest a clear and organized report structure (similar to sections)
Change the report date range (e.g., Last 30 days, Year to date, Custom period)
Update the report style (e.g., change widget border colors)
Add new widgets (e.g., Add a Big Number for “Clicks”)
What AI Report Builder Cannot Do (Yet)
Cannot create or edit report displayed filters (filters without dimension values)
Cannot generate a report with two comparison periods
Cannot generate or edit some advanced widget types, such as:
Advanced Bar Charts: Bar-Line, Multi-Bar, Stacked Bar
Advanced Big Numbers: Lifetime, Pacing
Advanced Line Charts: Lifetime or 1-metric charts
Advanced Pie Chart: Multi-measure
Advanced Tables: Campaign, Lifetime, Pacing
Other Advanced types: Funnel, Goals, Goals Pacing, Scatterplot, Pivot Table v2
Tips for Using AI Report Builder Effectively
Before creating or editing a report, clarify:
The KPIs you want
The dimensions you need
The date range (if not specified, the browsing date range is used by default)
When editing a widget, specify the widget name and type
(e.g., Edit the Big Number widget “CTR”)
How to access AI Report Builder
You can access AI Report Builder whenever you create or edit a report.
In the Report Builder interface, open the AI tab, this is where the conversational assistant is available.
Create a report with AI
You can create a report from scratch using AI:
Go to All Reports.
Click Create a new report.
Select Create with AI.
AI Report Builder will help you save time by suggesting a complete, structured report layout (similar to sections).
You can switch to the "Widgets" and "Settings" tabs at any time to manually adjust widgets, filters, settings, or styling.
Describe the report you want, then click Generate full report.
Once generated, you’ll see a task summary in the conversation. You can switch to the regular Report tab at any time to manually adjust widgets, filters, settings, or styling.
Using AI to edit your report
In the AI input prompt, you can request actions such as:
Adding new widgets
Changing filters or date ranges
Editing report settings
Updating widget or report styling

Filter to Snapchat only
Style widgets with blue borders
AI Report Builder will process your request and update the report accordingly.
