Report Builder
You are now in the report builder, you can:
Add widgets in the tab WIDGETS
Configure filters, set default date ranges and number format for your report in the tab REPORT SETTINGS
Display whole numbers
🔢 For numbers in the tens of thousands or millions, Spyne previously displayed a compact version (using "k" for thousands and "M" for millions).
You can now disable this behavior and display the full number in detail.
Select widgets from widget library
Select the widget you want or ask spyneAPI to create the widget for you
Place it on your report using our drag and drop functionality
There are 3 types of widget:
Standard widgets include big number (KPI), chart, graph and table.
Advanced widgets include tools and data insights, e.g. Goals tracking, Waterfall, Funnel.
Design widgets include text, image and divider.
Create a widget with spyneAI:

Type of widget | Recommendation |
Big number | Use this widget to highlight a key metric or important number. |

Funnel chart | Use this chart to illustrate the progressive stages of a process, such as a conversion pipeline, helping to identify drop-offs and bottlenecks at different stages. |
Scatterplot chart | Use this chart to display the relationship between two numerical variables, allowing you to identify correlations, clusters, and outliers in the data. |
Marimekko chart | Use this chart to visualize the distribution of data across multiple categories, with varying segment widths representing proportional values. It's ideal for comparing market share or product categories. |
Text | This widget allows you to add descriptive text or additional explanations to your report. |
Divider | Use this widget to visually divide your report into distinct sections. |
Customize widget settings
Once a widget is dragged and dropped, you will see the widget settings panel on the right side of the screen.
By using these settings, you can tailor each widget to meet your specific needs and create unique and informative data visualizations.
Here are some commonly used settings and their functionalities:
Data Source: You can select the data source to use for feeding your widget, whether it's your main sources (campaigns, ads), conversions or site analytics.
Metric: Choose the specific metric you want to display in your widget, such as spend, number of clicks, sales figures, etc.
Dimension: Determine the dimension to use based on your naming convention for grouping your data, such as country, market segment, channel, etc.
Widget filter: Apply custom filters to display only relevant data in your widget, such as filtering by country, channel, etc.
Formatting: Customize the appearance of the widget by adjusting style, showing trends for a chart, or a comparaison for a table, etc

Switch between edit mode and preview
The preview mode allows you to see how your report will look like to viewers before publishing it. It gives you a chance to review the layout, format, and content of your report and make any necessary adjustments.
To switch between edit mode and preview:
Click on the button “X” on the top left of the panel “Widget settings” to switch to preview mode
When you’re on preview, click on the button “Back to edit” to switch bask to edit mode.
Once you are on preview, you can double click on the widget to switch to edit mode.
Click on “Create report”
Click Create report to publish your report.
Share access
Once created, your report is private by default. However, you can share access to your team.
