Edit filters in Report Builder
Fixed Filters: These have predefined values, such as "Channel is Meta." They remain fixed and cannot be modified during report viewing.
Displayed Filters: These do not have predefined values and are typically dimensions, such as "Country," "Type," or "Campaign Name." Report viewers can add values to these filters but cannot remove them.
Only users with permission to edit the report can make changes to these filters.
To edit filters:
Click the “…” button, then select Edit report to make changes
You enter in edit mode, with the Report Builder panel on the right side.
In the section 2. Report filters, Modify fixed and displayed filters
Add filters: You can add more filters, including advanced "OR" filters, to explore your data in detail.
Note: By default, all filters (except Advanced filters) use an "AND" condition.
💡 The difference between the report filter and the widget filter:
Report filters at the top apply to all widgets in the report.
Widget filters are used to filter data for a specific widget, and they are set up in the Report Builder.
Example of widget filters 👇
Advanced filters "OR"
The Advanced Filter "OR" allows you to create flexible, detailed filter conditions in your reports.
Instead of applying multiple filters with an automatic AND (meaning all conditions must be true), the OR option lets you say: "Show results that match any of these conditions."
Example: Channel is Meta OR Channel is Tiktok.
➔ Campaigns on either Meta or Tiktok (or both) will be shown.
How to add advanced filters
1. Click + Add filters.
2. At the bottom of the dropdown list, click + Add advanced filters.
3. Select the dimension you want to filter - in this example, Channel - then choose a condition (is, is not, contains, does not contain, or is not empty), and finally select the value you want to filter - in this case, Meta
4. Then click +Add filter rule
5. Select the dimension you want to filter - in this example, Channel - then choose a condition, and finally select the value you want to filter - in this case, Tiktok
6. Click Apply filter
After you add an advanced filter, it appears at the top of the report under "Advanced filters" with the number of rules.
These filters are fixed and can't be changed when just viewing the report. Only users who can edit the report can change them.
Edit the date range in Report Builder
Only users with permission to edit the report can change the default date range.
To edit the date range:
Click the “…” button, then select Edit report to make changes
You will enter in edit mode, with the Report Builder panel on the right side.
In the section 1. Default Date Range, select the default date range of the report.
“Browsing dates” automatically uses the date range you selected earlier, for example, from another report.
(Optional) Add a comparison to the report. Once enabled in the Report Builder, comparison mode stays on until you change it.
