Track Budget Pacing, Goals & Reach for Several Campaigns in One Table

Use the Table Pacing widget together with a campaign dimension to monitor budget, spend, pacing trend and lifetime reach for several campaigns at once.

Want to track budget, pacing, and reach for several campaigns at a glance, without juggling a separate widget (and a separate filter) for every metric?

With Spyne, you can : that’s exactly what the Table Pacing widget is built for.

The Table Pacing widget

In the Advanced widgets section of the Report Builder, the Table Pacing widget displays one row per campaign, with the pacing indicators side by side: Budget, Spend, Spend (%), Spend Projection (%), Trend Status, Lifetime Reach and Goals Details.

Filter this widget to adjust your view on : channel, campaign name, start date... Or directly filter your report to show any campaign under these filters in your table.

Example: a report filtered at the top on 3 priority campaigns shows a Table Pacing widget listing those same 3 campaigns, each with its Budget, Spend, Spend %, Spend Projection %, Trend and Lifetime Reach.

Step-by-step

Set it up

  1. Open the report (or create a new one) in Report Builder.

  2. From the Advanced widgets section, add the Table Pacing widget and give it a clear title, e.g. "Trend & Lifetime Pacing".

  1. Configure the dimension on "Campaign Name"

  2. Configure the columns you want to display, at minimum Budget, Spend (%), Trend and Lifetime Reach.

  3. At the top of the report, click Add filters and add any filters you want : channel, campaign name...

  4. The Table Pacing widget now reflects several campaigns. Updating the campaign list means editing this one report-level filter, not every widget.

Link with goals via campaign name

  1. In the widget settings, open the display options.

  2. Enable "Link with goals via campaign name"

  3. (optional) Select a goal drilldown dimension

  4. Select the columns you want to display.

Best practices

  • Filter once, at the report level. Reserve widget-level filters for the rare case where one specific widget genuinely needs a different scope than the rest of the report.

  • Group Table Pacing with your other budget/reach widgets under a clear section (e.g. a "Pacing & Reach" section), so it's immediately clear this table is the pacing/reach summary and not another spend widget.

  • Read the Trend column first. The pacing status (e.g. On track vs Overdelivery) gives you the headline at a glance, before drilling into the Spend (%) and Spend Projection (%) columns for the detail.

  • Don't rely on the date selector for pacing. Lifetime Reach and the pacing columns cover the campaign's full duration (or up to yesterday if it's still running) regardless of the report's date range. They are designed to always show the full picture, not a partial period.

Things to check

  • The table shows "No data found." This usually means the Campaign Name filter (report-level or widget-level) doesn't match any campaign with budget/pacing data, or another filter (e.g. Channel) excludes the source these campaigns run on. Check the filter values first.

  • A widget-level filter conflicts with the report-level filter. If the widget's own Campaign Name filter points to a campaign that isn't included in the report-level filter, that widget shows no data. Either leave the widget-level filter empty, or make sure it only references campaigns already included in the report-level filter.

  • Reach doesn't move when you change the report's date range. That's expected: Lifetime Reach is only available at the campaign level, for the campaign's entire duration.
